You are already whole. Within you is tremendous power that
can orientate you towards what brings you greater presence, joy, wonder and
aliveness in the here and now. In our culture we are frequently orientated to
the future, practical and adult world, which can create patterns of choosing
that which we think we “should” do or what others think we “should do.” We are
frequently praised and conditioned to follow something besides our inner
guidance, to push away desires and longings and stuff feelings away because we
fear they may not be acceptable or appropriate. Many of us carry wounding from early childhood and have
created strategies to respond to the need to be loved that no longer serve our
well being.
When
was the last time you felt a calling from inside and followed it? When was the
last time you allowed yourself to PLAY?
During this 4 hour intuitive painting workshop, we will introduce
you to a process for practicing tuning into your unique inner voice which longs
to be heard. You will have an
opportunity to be supported through a painting process that will encourage deep
listening and awareness into your inner self. In this process, each person is
encouraged to deeply listen for messages from within and sit with, break
through and face the challenges of self-limiting belief structures. Because
this is a process, the focus is on the here and now, what is showing up in the
painting and the painter rather than focusing on an end goal or product.
Technique will not be covered and people of ALL SKILL LEVELS ARE WARMLY
WELCOMED AND ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. Including people who may be wounded in their
creativity due to over focus on product or people who do not consider
themselves to be artists!

Together we will create a sanctuary of sacredness and
safety, which encourages following what is alive in you in the here and now. You can expect to build trust in your own
unique process, develop stronger mindfulness and listening skills, build radical
self-acceptance (challenge that inner critic!), unravel and begin to express
emotion stored in the body and gain insight into personal
patterns. You may also experience bouts of JOY and LAUGHTER as well as TEARS,
GREIF & ANGER as you DIVE INTO what is alive for you. You will leave with a process you can continue to practice
on your own at home if you choose. Basic
Materials provided: paper, oil pastels, tempera paint, easels, palettes and
brushes. If there is a specific art medium you love and feel called to use,
please bring that for yourself, though not necessary!

WORKSHOP
FACILITATORS:
Linnea
Knoespel, MA, LMHC, is an
expressive arts therapist and licensed mental health counselor who has worked
with adults, children and families on a variety of issues. Linnea is
particularly passionate about guiding others to unlock limiting personal
patterns through the use of art therapy. Linnea has found that Identifying and
limiting the amount of authority we give to the inner critic unlocks a vast
well of personal power and joy. Linnea has recently been indoctrinated into the
magic of intuitive process painting and is passionate about sharing it with
others. “When we are able to listen deeply, the right answers come.”
Eliza Combs, MA, LMHC, is an expressive arts therapist and licensed mental health counselor who has worked with men, women, children and families for the last 20 years creating and facilitating therapeutic arts and self empowerment programs. Eliza was captivated by the intuitive painting process which she explored through several workshops and then through a year long Teacher Training Program with Chris Zydel of Creative Juices Arts which she completed in 2013. Eliza is excited to be sharing this transformational art process with you and hopes it will lead you deep into your special blend of magic, mystery and power of Self.
