Sacred Circle Making

Everything the power of the world does is done in a circle. The sky is round and I have heard that the earth is round like a ball and so are all the stars.  The wind, in its greatest power, whirls. Birds make their nests in circles, for theirs is the same religion as ours. The sun comes forth and goes down again in a circle. The moon does the same and both are round. Even the seasons form a great circle in their changing and always come back again to where they were. ~

Here are some of my sacred circles sometimes called mandalas especially in the art therapy, expressive arts and psychological fields. Susanne Fincher in the the training she does from creatingmandalas says that mandalas are psychological circles. I found them to be journeys in wholeness. Some were pleasurable to create, some were uncomfortable and some brought pain to my attention. The mandalas you see on the right are color mandalas we played with for 5 minutes. This was such a nourishing process for me! 

These are the 12 circles I created going through the process of the great round as written by Joan Kellogg and taught to me by Susanne Fincher and Creating Mandalas.
